Exploratory Data Analysis in R In-Person / Online
Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) is used to perform an initial analysis of your data in order to get a feel for the variables involved and whether your data entails certain patterns.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
- use different visualization tools to analyze distributions and correlations
- know and apply different ways to treat missing data
- apply classification and standardization methods
Prerequisites:
· Introductory knowledge of R, e.g. from Introduction to programming in R workshop, or from McGill's R summer camp.
· You need to bring your own laptop for this workshop. Install R and RStudio on your computer. You can find installation instructions here. Please contact us (cdsi.science@mcgill.ca) if you are having trouble with installation. Contact us if you would like to attend but it's impossible for you to bring a laptop to this workshop.
Location: Hybrid. Online via Zoom, or in-person at Burnside Hall room 1104 (11th floor).
