Creating a Shiny dashboard in R In-Person / Online
As part of the data science life cycle series in R, this workshop will introduce you to creating a dynamic website to display your analytical results and data sets. The R shiny package allows you to create nice-looking interactive dashboards.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
- understand the logic of building shiny apps
- build a basic dashboard
- create input fields and manipulate the output of the dashboard
Prerequisites:
· Introductory knowledge of R, e.g. from Introduction to programming in R, or McGill R summer camp.
· Install R and RStudio on your computer. You can find installation instructions here. Please contact us (cdsi.science@mcgill.ca) if you are having trouble with installation.
· You need to bring your own laptop for this workshop. Contact us if you would like to attend but it's impossible for you to bring a laptop.
Location: HYBRID. Online via Zoom, or in-person at Burnside Hall room 1104 (11th floor).
