Building interactive plots in R In-Person / Online

Overview:

As part of the data science life cycle series, this workshop will introduce methods for creating interactive plots and tables for exploratory analysis and sharing of both numeric and spatial data. Come and join this workshop to learn principles of interactive packages in R. 

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to

   - construct plots in {plotly} with interactive tooltips and mouse controls

   - display spatial data on interactive maps with {leaflet} 

   - build interactive data tables with {reactable} 

   - learn to embed, save, and share interactive outputs 

Prerequisites: Intermediate knowledge of data visualization in R

Instructor: Jake Lawlor, PhD student, Dept. of Biology, Faculty of Science, McGill.

You need to bring your own laptop for this workshop. Install R and RStudio on your computer. You can find installation instructions here. Please contact us (cdsi.science at mcgill.ca) if you are having trouble with installation.
