Introduction to UNIX In-Person / Online

Overview: This workshop is designed to provide participants with a basic introduction to the use of the command line with UNIX and how to navigate public databases for RNA-seq data.  Participants will learn the fundamentals of file management, navigation, and inspections as well as how to use the file-transfer protocol to download transcriptomics data from resources such as NCBI GEO.

Pre-requisite: Access to a UNIX-based terminal (WSL for Windows users)

Location: HYBRID. Online via Zoom, or in-person at the Education Building, Room 133
